Sporting KC beats Rapids 2-0 in Chance Myers' return

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) -- Krisztian Nemeth scored his seventh goal of the season and Sporting Kansas City beat the Colorado Rapids 2-0 on Saturday night.

Chance Myers and Benny Feilhaber assisted on Nemeth's goal in the 32nd minute. It was Feilhaber's MLS-leading ninth assist.

Myers returned to MLS action for the first time since rupturing his Achilles tendon on May 23, 2014. The defender's first competitive action came in a 1-0 Open Cup win over St. Louis FC on June 16.

Rapids midfielder Sam Cronin conceded an own goal in the 64th minute on a misplay of Feilhaber's cross.
