Spanish Football strike suspended, La Liga to continue on Sunday

LET'S FOOTBALL!

The strike is over. Let's football.

The National Court of Spain has announced on Thursday that it had ruled in favor of the Spanish League (LFP), who had requested that the strike called by the Players' Union (AFE) should be suspended. With the favorable decision towards the LFP, the last two rounds and twenty matches of La Liga and the Copa Del Rey Final between Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao will be contested as planned.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), who had backed the Union's plans for a strike, also confirmed that the matches will indeed happen on Sunday, May 17th, and Saturday, May 23rd, as well as the Spanish Cup Final to be contested at Camp Nou on Saturday, May 30th.
