Spain will play Russia in the last 16 of the World Cup on Sunday after just about managing to top Group B with a 2-2 draw against Morocco.
Morocco looked to be headed for a win but Iago Aspas managed to score a VAR-assisted late equaliser which was enough as Portugal could only draw with Iran in the other game.
FIRST HALF
The expectations from this game were met from the start as Spain dominated more than 70% of the possession and looked dangerous early on. A very attacking formation with Thiago and Iniesta in central midfield gave La Roja multiple passing options all over the pitch, and they looked set to unlock the Moroccan defense at any moment.
