Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has named his latest Spain squad and has included Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, Pau Cubarsi and Pedri in his latest call-up.
Speaking later at a press conference, the Spain boss was asked if he’d considered giving Yamal a rest and offered up the following response.
“I’ll give you a fact: FIFA has done a study of the last 12 years of 40 days. The percentage of minutes played by players with the national team is 3.5%,” he told reporters.
“National team matches do not ‘injure’ anyone.
