The North African country is bidding to become the second African side to stage the global spectacle after South Africa
South African Football Association (Safa) president Danny Jordaan has promised fellow African side Morocco that South Africa will give its unqualified support to secure another World Cup on the African continent in 2026.
Morocco is vying against Canad, Mexico and the US to become only the second African side to stage the world’s biggest football competition.
Jordaan, in the presence of the Moroccan delegation which comprised of ex-Senegal and Liverpool attacker, El Hadji Diouf and former Cameroon goalkeeper, Joseph-Antoine Bell, said it would be great for Africa to have a second bite of the World Cup cherry, adding Morocco’s bid was Africa’s bid.
