The 31-year-old Argentine heads to the 'Caps after two and a half seasons with D.C.
A source has confirmed to Goal USA's Ives Galarcep that D.C. United is sending attacker Fabian Espindola to the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The transaction comes amid reports of several moves underway for D.C. The capital club is currently outside the Eastern Conference playoff picture in Major League Soccer.
For the Whitecaps, Espindola's arrival comes at a time when the west coast side is reshaping its attack. Vancouver shipped Octavio Rivero to Chilean outfit Colo-Colo earlier this month, and has also signed 15-year-old wide midfielder Alphonso Davies to a homegrown contract.
