The physical center back continues a recent roster overhaul for the struggling Sounders, who have lost five straight games in MLS play.
The Seattle Sounders have announced the signing of defender Roman Torres from Colombian side Millonarios.
Torres, 29, is the captain of Panama's national team, most recently leading his side to a third-place finish at this summer's Gold Cup.
"Roman is one of the best defenders in CONCACAF and an imposing player who we believe will make an impact in MLS,” Sounders GM and president of soccer Garth Lagerwey said in a club release.
