Alyssa Thompson marked her return to the USWNT in absolute style.
The 19-year-old forward—who was left off the roster for this summer's Olympics and last played for the United States women on Dec. 5, 2023—scored an absolute stunner of a goal on Thursday during the Americans' 3-1 win over Iceland in a friendly.

And Sophia Smith joined the party just moments later:
Thompson was part of the USWNT's World Cup roster in 2023 but was left off the Olympics roster in favor of the "Triple Espresso" forward line of Trinity Rodman, Sophia Smith and Mallory Swanson and reserve attackers Crystal Dunn and Shaw.
