Sommer pens Gladbach renewal

The Bundesliga outfit have handed out contract extensions to their No.1 - securing his future until 2021 - as well as his understudy, Tobias Sippel

Switzerland goalkeeper Yann Sommer has signed a two-year contract extension at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Why Marco Reus would be the perfect signing for Arsenal

Added to his existing terms at Borussia Park, the new deal means Sommer will remain with at the club until June 2021.

The 28-year-old joined Gladbach from Basel, where he became a four-time Swiss champion.

He replaced Marc-Andre ter Stegen as first-choice goalkeeper after the Germany international moved to Barcelona, and has been a mainstay at the Bundesliga side since.
