Soccer-Sporting sack coach, Benfica's Jesus set to take over

LISBON, June 4 (Reuters) - Benfica coach Jorge Jesus, who secured a second Portuguese league title in a row for the Lisbon side last month, is poised to move to crosstown rivals Sporting, who sacked coach Marco Silva on Thursday.

"Silva was today informed of his dismissal with just cause, as it has not been possible to come to terms with him," Sporting said in a statement on the securities market regulator CMVM's website.

Both Sporting and Benfica are listed companies and have to report new contracts and sackings to the regulator.
