April 26 (Reuters) - Carlos Queiroz has completed another surprise U-turn and agreed to stay on as Iran coach through the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign just weeks after resigning from the post for the second time.
"I had a good session with the football federation and Iran's sports minister officials today. We are looking forward to the future," Queiroz was quoted as saying by Iranian media on Sunday.
The former Real Madrid and Portugal manager said in March he would leave the post he has held since 2011 following a bust up with sporting authorities despite fan pleas for him to stay on.
