Barcelona's official Twitter account confirmed the news during Sunday's match. The injury forced manager Luis Enrique to shuffle his side with Marc Bartra coming on for the Spaniard with Javier Mascherano moving up from defence.
Nick Miller of the Guardian described the incident thusly: "Busquets wins a free-kick and is writhing in pain, but that looked like one of those block tackles that goes awry.
