Sergi Samper’s departure from Barcelona earlier this year was pretty sad to see, but the midfielder seems to be enjoying himself in his new life with Vissel Kobe.
The 24-year-old joined up with Andres Iniesta and David Villa in Japan back in March in a move which will hopefully see him revive his career and enjoy an injury-free run.
Samper certainly seems to be heading in the right direction and scored a brilliant, individual goal in the club’s 4-0 win over Giravanz Kitakyushu in the Emperor’s Cup on Wednesday.
His team were already 3-0 up and cruising to victory when Samper took possession of the ball, beat three defenders and then coolly slotted home - almost Lionel Messi like?
