Sergi Roberto is set to sign a new contract at Barcelona with the only thing holding up an official announcement being a debate over the length of the renewal.
The Barcelona captain’s agent is said to be pushing for a new two-year contract, but the Catalans have only offered terms for the next 12 months, according to Mundo Deportivo.
There’s a suggestion that Roberto’s agent could also try for a one-year deal with the option of one more.
Roberto turned 32 in February but has made it clear he wants to stay at the club for now and clearly has Xavi’s backing.
