Sergi Roberto turned down better offers to stay at Barcelona, says Bartomeu

Sergi Roberto has officially extended his Barcelona deal after signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2022.

President Josep Maria Bartomeu paid tribute to the 26-year-old and said he turned down better offers from other clubs to stay at the Camp Nou.

Bartomeu: Sergi Roberto's had and will have a lot of better offers, but he's decided to stay at Barça. This is his home.

And as for Sergi himself, well he said he wants to stay at Barcelona for as long as possible.
