Sepp Blatter marginalizes women's game again, will skip World Cup final

The FIFA president will not present the Women's World Cup to the tournament winner on Sunday due to "commitments in Zurich."

Outgoing FIFA president Sepp Blatter will not attend the Women's World Cup final this weekend because of "commitments in Zurich," the organization confirmed.

Despite a reputation for being a sexist, Blatter had been expected to be in Vancouver for the tournament showcase between the United States and the winner of Wednesday's match between England and Japan.

However, he, along with secretary general Jerome Valcke, will remain in Switzerland rather than travel to Canada as the corruption scandal continues to rock the governing body.
