The Italian netted 22 times in his first season with TFC, good enough finish the year tied on goals scored with Columbus Crew forward Kei Kamara, with the former Juventus star earning the top honors on a tiebreaker for having more assists.
Giovinco also led the league in that category, racking up 16 assists and setting a league record for combined goals and assists (38) while also leading TFC to its first playoff berth.
