The Marseille star becomes the latest members of Les Bleus' squad to drop out with injury, following defenders Jeremy Mathieu and Raphael Varane
France have confirmed that Lassana Diarra will miss Euro 2016, with Morgan Schneiderlin taking his place at the tournament.
The Marseille player had been suffering from inflammation on his left knee, which did not impede Didier Deschamps from originally calling him up in his 23-man list.
But he was unable to recover in time for the home championships, giving Schneiderlin the chance to shine after being ommitted from the original squad.
The Manchester United man has appeared 13 times for France, and is yet to net his first goal in international colours.
