The Bundesliga side reignited their European campaign with a win over Spurs that moved them up to second in Group E
Bayer Leverkusen boss Roger Schmidt says his side was good value for its hard-fought, 1-0 Champions League win over Tottenham at Wembley.
Kevin Kampl rifled home what proved to be the winner from close range after 65 minutes as the visitors leapfrogged their opponents into second place in Group E.
The result snapped a run of five consecutive Champions League draws for the German side that dated back to last season's competition.
Leverkusen enjoyed a let-off when Eric Dier's late free-kick struck the bar and the three points left Schmidt understandably delighted.
