Colo Colo's celebrations after they were crowned Chilean Primera Division champions on Sunday were marred as violent clashes between fans resulted in their match with Santiago Wanderers being abandoned.
Universidad Catolica's 1-0 defeat to Audax Italiano guaranteed Colo Colo their 31st Chilean title ahead of their final match of the season away at the Elias Figueroa Brander stadium in Valparaiso.
However, brutal crowd violence ahead of the clash forced the match to be called off by the referee as opposing fans fought with flares, chairs and metal poles, as can be seen below, per MailOnline's Adam Smith:
