Rumors of discontent in Mexican locker room before Brazil clash surface

It is safe to say Mexico’s 3-0 defeat to Sweden cost El Tri more than an easier path to the Quarterfinals. On Wednesday, FOX Deportes journalist Ruben Rodriguez revealed there were feelings of discontent among several Mexican internationals following the defeat to Sweden.

According to Rodriguez, several Mexican players were not happy about coach Juan Carlos Osorio’s decision to play virtually the same lineup from the previous two games, as many were hoping to get minutes against Sweden. This apparently caused the group of players to lower their commitment to the team in the days that followed.
