RUMORS: Beckham wants Roberto Carlos for Miami MLS franchise

The two played together at Real Madrid, and adding a big name to the backroom staff before the proposed club is even given the green light would make a statement.

David Beckham wants former Real Madrid teammate Roberto Carlos to coach his Miami-based Major League Soccer team, according to a report in AS.

The Brazilian icon, now 42, has been in management since 2012 and is currently the coach of ISL side Dehli Dynamos.

And Beckham is keen to add a big name to his backroom staff before he brings in any players ahead of the franchise's launch, with Carlos interested in taking up the Englishman on his offer.
