Roy Hodgson immediately stepped down as England manager after Iceland knocked the Three Lions out in a shocking upset during the round of 16 at Euro 2016.
Hodgson released a statement to the media after the 2-1 defeat, saying the result was "not acceptable" and that "now is the time for someone else to oversee the progress" of the national team.
"Now is the time for someone else to oversee the progress of this young, hungry and extremely talented group, Hodgson said, per England's official Twitter account. "It's been a fantastic journey.
