Roundup: City F.C. Can’t Recover From Deficit of Two Goals

Michel fed Tesho Akindele for a goal and then added one of his own later in the first half, and F.C. Dallas beat visiting New York City F.C., 2-1, on Saturday night.

Michel found Akindele along the right sideline with a long pass, and Akindele carried the ball into the penalty area and unleashed a shot off his right foot that found the upper left corner in the 45th minute. Michel then bent a corner kick cleanly past goalkeeper Josh Saunders in the fourth minute of first-half extra time to give F.C. Dallas (14-8-5) a 2-0 lead.
