Roma 0-2 Real Madrid: Report, Ratings & Reaction as Los Blancos Punish Wasteful Hosts to Top Group G

Real Madrid guaranteed themselves top spot in their Champions League group as they overcame a careless Roma side thanks to goals from Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez.

With both sides already through to the knockout stages and top spot in Group G on the line, the shackles were well and truly off with the game starting at a frenetic pace. Luka Modric's deflected effort forced a fine save from Robin Olsen's Roma in the game's first attempt on goal after Roma had shown their potency on the break through the pace of Cengiz Under.

Eusebio Di Francesco's side should have taken the lead before the break as Under, after impressing in the early stages, as he smashed over the bar from no more than three yards out after good work by Patrik Schick.
