FC Kansas City forward Amy Rodriguez will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury suffered in the second half of the season opener. It was Rodriguez’s first game back after sitting out last season to give birth to her second child.
Rodriguez tore her left Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and meniscus.
The Blues were off to a fantastic start with returning mothers Amy Rodriguez and Sydney Leroux threatening the goal several times. Leroux got the scoring started seven minutes in to the first half.
Rodriguez did have a couple very good chances in the first half but could not squeeze a shot past the Boston keeper.
