Whilst their eternal rivals Real Madrid find themselves in danger of missing out on a trip to the semi-finals for the first time in five years after their 3-0 defeat at Arsenal, Barcelona are well-positioned to qualify for Europe’s final four for the first time in six years.
The Blaugranas drew first blood in the 25th minute as Fermín López delivered a curving free kick towards Iñigo Martínez, who headed it across goal towards Pau Cubarsí, whose shot was trickling towards goal when Raphinha tapped it in from close range.
