Martin O'Neill's men picked up a famous win in Dublin to keep their hopes of qualification alive while the visiting side has booked a spot at Euro 2016 despite the defeat.
The Republic of Ireland secured a famous 1-0 win over world champion Germany in Dublin thanks to a fantastic second half strike by substitute Shane Long.
Joachim Lowe's side was undone by a long ball up field by substitute goalkeeper Darren Randolph which Long latched on to, racing clear of the Germany defense before hammering a fierce shot past Manuel Neuer.
