Manchester United are reportedly readying a bid worth £26 million in an attempt to sign Faouzi Ghoulam from Napoli as a replacement for Luke Shaw, who looks set to depart Old Trafford this summer.
According to RMC Sport (via the Mirror), the Red Devils are not prepared to become embroiled in long negotiations for the Algerian international left-back as his contract runs to 2022, but they have already been in contact with Ghoulam's agent, putting them a step ahead of rival Premier League suitors.
Ghoulam, 27, has been out of action since the beginning of November due to a knee injury, but he is set to return to training this week, the report added.
