Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their interest in Red Bull Salzburg's Takumi Minamino with a view to a possible January transfer.
According to Paul Joyce of The Times, the Reds are ready to move for the 24-year-old in the midseason window, with the player available for just £7.25 million due to a release clause in his contract with the Austrian club.
"Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, is the driving force behind the prospective transfer having been thrilled by Minamino’s performances in the Champions League where his quality, poise in possession and ability to pick a pass from an attacking midfield role was clear," continued Joyce.
