Barcelona could reportedly be kicked out of next season’s Champions League due to Financial Fair Play issues, according to a new report from Germany.
Die Welt reckon that the club’s finances are “a mess” and that their sources at UEFA and Barca claim there’s a threat of expulsion from Europe’s top competition.
Barcelona’s financial issues have been well-documented, but it seems UEFA are not at all happy with their accounting and believe they have violated financial regulations.
The club announced a net profit of €304 million in September but UEFA say only income that can be directly attributed to football business can be allowed.
