A fan who shouted "go wash the dishes" at a female referee was ejected from a Catalan second division game on Sunday.

Per Spanish news agency EFE (via AS), Marta Galego, while officiating a match between UE Valls and Cambrils Unio, heard the sexist comment from the stands and stopped the match.

She then ordered for the offending UE Valls spectator to be removed from the stands—a process that took three minutes—before restarting the game.

Galego was applauded for her decisive action and noted the incident down in her pad, "surely with the intention of reporting the incident to the Catalan Football Federation," per EFE.
