The former West Ham, Portsmouth and Tottenham manager has joined the promotion-chasing Championship outfit to support head coach Darren Wassall until the end of the season.
Harry Redknapp has taken up an advisory role at Derby County until the end of the season.
The Championship outfit - which sacked manager Paul Clement in February - will use Redknapp's experience within the game to assist head coach Darren Wassall.
The former West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur manager claims he was won over by the club's ambition.
"From the first conversation I had with the chairman it was clear he has exciting plans for the football club," Redknapp told the club's official website.
