Real Madrid want Barcelona target Joshua Kimmich as replacement for Toni Kroos

Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for Joshua Kimmich this summer but it seems Real Madrid may be keen on the Bayern star too.

According to Bild, Kimmich could imagine joining Los Blancos and taking over from Toni Kroos who has announced his retirement.

Kimmich would get to work with Ancelotti again, while Madrid could afford his salary - unlike Barcelona who may struggle to make any deal work financially.

Bild says a Barca move for Kimmich is “not that hot” despite the arrival of Hansi Flick as the club’s new first-team coach.
