Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to reunite with Real Madrid centre-back Pepe. The Manchester United manager worked with Pepe when he was in charge of Los Blancos from 2010-13.
Mourinho is interested in acquiring the veteran defender whose contract expires in the summer, per Spanish publication Marca (h/t Rob Dawson of the Manchester Evening News).
For his part, Pepe wants to stay with the club until he's 36, but Los Blancos reportedly won't offer the 33-year-old more than a one-year contract extension. Pepe is seeking a two-year offer, according to Marca's Jose Felix Diaz and Marc Mayo.
