Real Madrid have been dealt a blow in their reported pursuit of Leicester City's N'Golo Kante after Chelsea lodged an initial bid for the French midfielder.
Per AS's Abel Romera, Kante is one of Real manager Zinedine Zidane's key targets "to provide some support and competition for Casemiro in the defensive midfield role."
However, Chelsea have made the first move for the 25-year-old and look to be the front-runners to sign him after lodging a bid with the Foxes worth £27 million plus £3 million in add-ons, per the Guardian's Fabrizio Romano and Marcus Christenson.
