Real Madrid's 6-0 victory at APOEL on Tuesday night was their largest away win in the Champions League/European Cup since 1978.
Zinedine Zidane's men steamrolled the Cypriot side behind doubles from Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, clinching a berth in the Champions League round of 16.
The win marked the largest European margin of victory away since the Blancos defeated Luxembourg side Progres Niedercorn 7-0 in September 1978.
The two-time defending Champions League winners will have to settle for second place in their group, however, with Tottenham's 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund securing top spot in Group H.
