Cristiano Ronaldo scored one goal and set up another as Real Madrid advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals with a 2-0 win over Roma at the Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Already enjoying a 2-0 advantage from the first leg, Real Madrid controlled most of the action in the first half, taking 18 shots, but Roma also missed a number of chances despite some fine play from Mohamed Salah.
After Marcelo and Ronaldo both missed wide for Madrid in the opening stages, Salah broke down the wing and evaded City defenders to put Eden Dzeko through on goal, but the striker missed the target.
