Atletico Madrid went top of La Liga—temporarily, at least—with a 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas on Wednesday.
It was a far-from-vintage performance from Atleti, who had to wait until the 87th minute to break the deadlock, courtesy of a well-worked Angel Correa goal.
Antoine Griezmann made the points safe two minutes later with a delightful chip over the goalkeeper.

Atleti's win takes them above Real Madrid at the top of the table, though Barcelona can claim top spot for themselves with a win over Real Betis.
