March was an almost-perfect month for FC Barcelona. They won three league games, progressed to the Champions League quarter-finals and then drew their last domestic match.
The final game was a disappointing draw against Villarreal, but El Madrigal is never an easy place to go and they ended March on 76 points after 30 games, with Atletico Madrid nine points behind on 67 and Real Madrid 10 back on 66.
That has changed after defeat in the Clasico in April’s first game, with Barcelona now only six points clear of Atletico and seven off Madrid, but they are still favourite to win La Liga because of their fine form in other recent matches.
