Ranieri invited to Fiorentina game to celebrate 90th birthday

The former Leicester City boss took the time to watch the fixture between two of his former clubs as a guest for the home side's birthday

Claudio Ranieri was a guest of honour at Fiorentina's Serie A game against Cagliari on Sunday afternoon as the home side celebrated their 90th birthday.

The former Leicester City boss was joined alongside a number of Fiorentina legends such as Giancarlo Antognoni, Fatih Terim and Enrico Chiesa at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, having been in charge of both Italian clubs during his managerial career.

Ranieri led Cagliari to back-to-back promotions from the Italian third division to Serie A between 1988-1990, and was in charge of Fiorentina between 1993-97, guiding the club to the Italian top-flight as Serie B champions in 1994.
