Rafinha suffers cruciate ligament injury

The Brazil international was stretchered from the field just four minutes after coming on against Roma and will now go under the knife to repair the damage.

Barcelona winger Rafinha is to undergo surgery after scans confirmed he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament.

The Brazil international was caught by Roma's Radja Nainggolan just four minutes after coming on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw, and was stretchered from the Stadio Olimpico field.

The Liga champion has now confirmed the 22-year-old attacking midfielder will go under the knife to repair the damage.
