Radamel Falcao has defended Lionel Messi after helping Colombia beat Argentina 2-0 in their opening game of the Copa America.
Goals from Roger Martinez and Duvan Zapata meant it was a tough start for Messi’s team, but Falcao feels the Barcelona captain gets a tough time on international duty.
“Messi was close to scoring against us, but he is sure to convert in the next couple of matches,” he said.
“If Messi scores a goal, people ask for two. If he scores a free-kick, they’ll say the wall wasn’t set up properly.
