Minutes after Pumas suffered another embarrassing defeat, Pumas parted ways with Coach Gustavo Lema. Pumas had been severely struggling in 2025 and after a bad loss against America in the Clasico Tapatio, a 4-2 loss against struggling Xolos was the last straw. Raul Alpizar was named was interim coach but no word yet on who the official coach will be although Efrain Juarez is looking like the front runner.
