Pumas ends losing streak after defeating Puebla

Pumas ended a four match losing streak by getting a hard fought win over Puebla by a 1-0 score. It wasn’t pretty but Pumas was able to get a victory that ended a losing streak and might have saved Coach Gustavo Lema’s job. Pumas will remain home to face Tijuana while Puebla will return home to face Pachuca.

The 1st half started with the return of Guillermo Martinez and Piero Quispe to the starting 11. Pumas had control of the possession in the early minutes but weren’t creating any danger. After a run of play, Jorge Ruvalcaba escaped thru a counter attack but Brayan Angulo would make a sliding tackle that got the ball off him but also injured Ruvalcaba.
