Pumas wins 2-0, a score that doesn’t reflect the level of domination they displayed tonight.
In their first CONCACAF Champions League home game, Pumas dominated completely a very weak Honduras Progreso and consolidated themselves atop their group. Eduardo Herrera scored one of the best goals of his career and Saul Berjon scored in injury time for the 2-0 score in a game where Pumas was maddening inept in the final 3rd and were lucky to face a side that was nonexistent offensively for 90 minutes.
In typical CCL fashion for Pumas, the team was loaded with young players and non league starters with a couple of key veterans like Herrera and Fidel Martinez.
