Pumas won their second straight Clasico Capitalino after defeating Club America by a 1-0 score. It as their third straight victory in the 2024 Apertura, all of them by the same score, although this one was by far the most important. Pumas continues at 5th place while current Liga MX champions America now sit at 11th, out of the Liguilla zone. America will have to pick things up when they visit Leon next Saturday while Pumas will have an extremely tough match that same day, away to Toluca.
