PSG set to appoint Sevilla’s head coach Unai Emery

according to Spainish sports daily Marca.

The Ligue 1 champions will reportedly pay Emery’s €2 million release clause, who will replace the departing French coach Laurent Blanc.

PSG won their second successive domestic treble by winning Ligue 1, the French Cup and the League Cup but the club’s mega-rich Qatari owners are keen to see the club make progress in the Champions League.

In a recent interview, club president Nasser al-Khelaifi raised doubts over future of Laurent Blanc by describing the season as a failure for getting knocked out in the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite competition by Manchester City with a 3-2 aggregate score.
