PSG Reportedly Ready Miralem Pjanic Bid, Prepared to Double Juventus Star's Wage

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a big-money offer to recruit Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic this summer, but the Italian club's valuation of the player could pose an obstacle.

Corriere dello Sport (h/tCalciomercato.com) reported PSG are willing to offer Pjanic €8 million (£7 million) per year after tax on a five-year contract. However, Juve are said to value their star at just over double the €32 million they paid AS Roma for him in 2016.

While a sum of nearly €65 million (£56.9 million) would hardly be considered out of reach for PSG usually, it comes after the French powerhouse splurged a combined £366 million to sign Neymar (£200 million) and Kylian Mbappe (£166 million) last summer—the latter fee to be paid when his loan is turned into a permanent move.
