Bad news on the injury front as promising youngster Aleix Garrido has suffered a relapse to a toe injury, which will require surgery.
The midfielder, who is still at Barça Atlètic, wanted to show he deserved more playing time in the FC Barcelona first team this season.
Garrido first had to undergo surgery in February of this year. The hope was that he would be ready to start the ensuing season.
A 20-year-old La Masia product, Garrido was said to be excited about the prospect of trying to impress Hansi Flick. Sadly, he will instead have to start from scratch in his recovery process in what is surely a frustrating injury for the youngster.
